Brief Introduction
尚"即"上,《尚书》就是"上古之书",传说是上古文化《三坟五典》遗留著作,记录了距今约四千年到二千六百年间虞、夏、商、周时期的历史状况,亦称"书经"。
""Shang"" signifies ""ancient"", making The Book of History a compendium of antiquity, reputed remnants of the primordial cultural texts Sanfen Wudian (Three Mounds and Five Canons). It chronicles historical accounts from the Yu, Xia, Shang, and Zhou periods spanning approximately 4000 to 2600 years ago, alternatively titled The Classic of Documents.
《尚书》,儒家"六经"之一,政书之祖。树立了我国古代政治的纲领,被称为帝王教科书,史书之源。记载了尧、舜、禹等诸多帝王的讲话和事迹,开记言体史书之先河。
As one of the Six Classics of Confucianism and progenitor of political literature, The Book of History established foundational principles for ancient Chinese governance, acclaimed as an instructional canon for rulers and the fountainhead of historical records. It pioneered the documentary historiography style by archiving speeches and deeds of sage-emperors like Yao, Shun, and Yu.

钱宗武,扬州大学文学院教授,国际《尚书》学会会长,《典籍里的中国》首席指导专家,当代《尚书》学研究第一人,被学界誉为"钱尚书"。
Qian Zongwu, Professor at Yangzhou University's College of Liberal Arts and President of the International Society for The Book of History Studies, serves as Chief Academic Advisor for Chinese Classics Alive. Recognized as the foremost authority in contemporary Book of History scholarship, he is acclaimed as ""Qian Shangshu"" (Qian, Master of History) in academic circles.
