註釋Somewhere along the line of learning to communicate the precious truth of God's Word, two ideas surfaced that have proven to be helpful for me. Through the years there has been ample confirmation of their usefulness. The first is "less is better." "One-liners" are more readily remembered than "long-liners." For example, "A sermon does not have to be eternal in order to be immortal." The second helpful thought is that appropriate timely humor can facilitate the memory of the teaching in the mind and heart of the listener. With these ideas in mind, the purpose of this little volume is twofold--to encourage your heart, and to enlarge your arsenal of verbal ammunition in order to better serve the Lord Jesus where you live, work, and play.
