註釋This collection of papers is the final report of the Canadian Working Group of IGCP Project 73/1/24, Quaternary Glaciations in the Northern Hemisphere. In his introduction to this volume, A. Dreimanis, the Work Group leader, describes the project and the nature and extent of Canadian participation. Most regional papers included here were presented at a symposium Quaternary Stratigraphy of canada organized at the annual meeting of the Geological Association of Canada in Winnipeg, 1982, by A. Dreimanis and J.T. Geller. The three summary papers (Western, Arctic, and Easern Canada) have been submitted as Canada's contribution to the final international report of Project 24.
