Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and miserly old moneylender, holding everything that embodies the joys and spirit of Christmas in contempt, keeping to himself and being nasty to people. Scrooge's business partner Jacob Marley has died and Scrooge is continues the way he as always done, until one Christmas Eve night the sprite of Marley returns in chains to Scrooge to warn him of his future fate if he does not change his ways and that three spirts Christmas will come to visit him this night to show him the folly of his ways.
