A Community of Believers
註釋With this prominent work Ross presents a contemporary reading of the Gospel and the Letters of John. He believes that the evangelist is calling upon us to live our relationship with God, our life of faith, in and together with the community of believers, thereby championing a spirituality of communion. Johns perspective presupposes a life in oneness, in unity. Jesus brings together the scattered children of God in order that they may live the life of oneness of the Divine Persons. Rosss approach is modern, positive and refreshing. It opens new horizons to the future of humanity, a future where God works with and through people united in love.Johns Gospel insists that each individual must receive life from Jesus. Rosss work correctly and helpfully shows that this relationship is not private. It is within the context of community the community of the Father with the Son and the community of believers with the Son. This is an important spiritual contribution to Johannine studies.Raymond E.
