The Australian Institute of Family Studies is Australia's foremost centre for research and information on family wellbeing. This annual report for the year ending June 2010 describes the research and operations of the Institute, along with highlights for the year. Details of all the research projects and Clearinghouses hosted by the Institute are also featured, including outcomes, publications, and presentations. The Institute houses three longitudinal studies: Growing Up in Australia: The Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC), the Australian Temperament Project (ATP) and the Longitudinal Study of Separated Families, as well as the four Clearinghouses: Australian Centre for the Study of Sexual Assault, the Australian Family Relationships Clearinghouse, Communities and Families Clearinghouse Australia, and the National Child Protection Clearinghouse. Notable events for the year include the completion of the evaluation of the 2006 reforms to Australia's family law system, the implementation of the 2009-2012 research plan, 'Sustaining Families in Challenging Times', and the celebration of the Institute's 30th anniversary in February.
