Commercial Recreation on Crown Land : Review of Policy Issues
註釋British Columbia's interim policy regarding the authorizing of commercial back-country recreation was subjected to a policy review to determine whether amendments were needed. This report reviews six policy issues: the type and duration of commercial recreation tenures (CRTs); overlapping area-based CRTs; co-ordination with other government approvals; CRTs inside and outside of protected areas; non-profit commercial recreation activities; and monitoring, compliance, and enforcement of CRTs. Each policy issue is analyzed to identify options for addressing the issue and to evaluate the options against appropriate criteria. A preferred approach is recommended for addressing each issue, and rationalized in terms of evaluation results. The appendix contains a copy of the interim policy.
