註釋In the context of the Ilısu Dam project built on the Tigris River, rescue excavations were carried out between 2000-2015 at Salat Tepe, where rural settlement layers spanning a long period from 5200 BC to the Modern Age were unearthed. The Salat Tepe III period, the final report of which is published in this book, was used as a winter shelter for nomadic animal husbandry communities during the Iron Age. The data obtained from these layers present the archaeological remains of seasonal settlement areas.
