Thomas Paine
註釋The Independence Hall Association, a nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, presents biographical information about the English-born American political philosopher and writer Thomas Paine (1737-1809). He was in favor of an American declaration of independence, opposed slavery, and advocated a world peace organization. The Independence Hall Association provides full-text versions of Paine's writings entitled "Common Sense" (1776), "The Rights of Man" (1791-1792), and "The Age of Reason" (1794-1796).
