Latinos and Politics
註釋This bibliography is the first comprehensive listing of works on Latino politics, a subject that is rapidly growing in importance as the influence of Latinos in the United States steadily increases. In contrast to other existing bibliographies, this one encompasses all three major U.S. Latino groups: Mexican Americans, Puerto Ricans, and Cuban Americans. The focus within the general arena of Latino politics is on political values, attitudes, mobilization, and leadership, and on public-policy issues. With more than 700 entries from a wide range of disciplines, Latinos and Politics includes virtually every empirically based research piece written on these subjects since 1965, and many significant works of more general interest. The book is divided into four sections : journal articles; books; dissertations; and government publications. All article and dissertation entries are accompanied by abstracts, as are many of the entries in the fourth section. In addition, author and subject indexes help make the bibliography more accessible.--From jacket flap
