This work traces the history of the Hamilton family, which came to America from England in 1715, the Hicks family in 1621, and the Doughty family in 1639. It shows that these families are descended from ten kings of England, ten kings of Scotland, 16 kings of France (two of which were also Holy Roman Emperors), one king of Germany, two kings of Italy, two kings of Sweden, and four Grand Princes of Kyivan Rus'. In addition the same line includes 11 Christian saints from England, France, Germany, Russia, Sweden, and Scotland, including Saint Margaret, the Patron Saint of Scotland.
