註釋
In this module, authors attempt to answer the questions: What are the key changes in educational thinking suggested by outcomes-based education (OBE)?, How will these impact on their teaching and assessment practices? These are relatively simple questions. But exploring 'paradigm shifts' - as the Department of Education describes South Africa's move to an outcomes-based education system - requires significant changes in the way we think about education as well as the way in which we practise education. The aim of this module is to develop one's understanding of OBE so that one can evaluate its worth and possibly begin changing the way in which one teaches. The module 'teaches' in two ways. It teaches through: providing one with new information about OBE; teaching this new information in a way which models OBE educational practices.
