The Live and Eat Healthy Recipe Book: a Holistic Guide to Modern, Fresh, and Cle
註釋The food you consume affects your health. Depending on the kind of food you eat, it can improve or deteriorate your health. Specific diets help in reducing the toxins present in the body, and these diets are known as detox diets. These so-called toxins could be from the consumption of junk or processed foods, sugars, alcohol or even tobacco. Detoxing helps in preventing your body from breaking down due to an accumulation of harmful substances and also prevents a couple of side effects like weight gain, tiredness and poor overall health. So, what is a detox diet? It merely means a diet that prevents you from ingesting certain "toxins" into your body. The kind of detox diet that you can opt for will depend on the particular toxin that you want to cut down on. No specific detox diet can suit the needs of different individuals. For instance, the diet followed by someone trying to detox their body from alcohol would be different from the diet followed by a person who is trying to cut back on sugar and other processed foods. The most basic way in which you can start a detox diet will be by fasting for a short duration and to follow this up with a diet that concentrates only on vegetables, fruit and lots of water.
