Cashtown During the Gettysburg Campaign, 1863
註釋During the Gettysburg Campaign, the small community of Cashtown, Pennsylvania found itself in the midst of the great events that occurred during those fateful days in June and July of 1863. Cashtown would see over two-thirds of General Robert E. Lee's famed Army of Northern Virginia march through seemingly on the cusp of victory in late June, only to see that same army a few days later, much reduced and defeated, on its agonizing retreat towards the Potomac River in the aftermath of the Battle of Gettysburg. This is the story of that community and its people, during one of the most critical military campaigns in American history. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go towards efforts of historical preservation and memorialization in and around Cashtown.
