Pomp and Circumstances
註釋This is the story of a family caught in the middle of war. John Dakiniewicz, an auto mechanic and veteran of the U.S. Army infantry, and Zina Kossenko, a refugee of the Russian revolution, met in 1926 in Shanghai, China. They settled in the city and established a family, but during World War II they and their young daughters became civilian prisoners in a Japanese-run internment camp. Their daughters, Wanda and Jeannette, are the authors of this family memoir.
