Effect of Strong Blast Wave on a Dust-laden Gas
註釋A uniform gas at rest contains a suspension of dust particles; a spherical blast sets these particles in motion as it travels through the gas. The objective is to determine the motion of the dust particles. Two basic assumptions are employed in the approximate description of the phenomenon: the interaction between particles can be neglected so that only the drag force acting on the particle is considered; the Taylor-Sedov point blast theory describes the flow field. The calculations which are performed for dust particle trajectories make use of the latest available empirical data for drag force. A further simplified model of the two-phase flow enables one to obtain analytical predictions which agree qualitatively with results of the exact computations. (Modified author abstract).
