Translating Titus Clause by Clause
註釋Designed as a translational guide, this Cyber-Center for Biblical Studies eBook for translating Titus isolates usage of independent and dependent clauses, provides tips for translating Titus, and shares exegetical explanations to assist in the translation of the letter. The book divides into three parts. First, Bateman and McKay provide an introduction whereby they prepare readers for translating Titus. Second, McKay divides the letter into ten manageable units for translating Titus while providing contextual orientation for each unit of thought. Finally, McKay makes available an answer key with detailed exegetical explanations about his division and translation of the text. Translating Titus Clause by Clause interacts with lexicons, grammars, and English translations in order to orient the reader/translator to the challenges that come with translating Paul's letter to Titus. Yet the contextual orientation and clausal outlines enable the reader/translator to trace the author's flow of thought in a manner that will be helpful for teaching and preaching purposes.
