註釋
"'Ambiopia,' the title of the catalog, captures a core of Heike Weber's work: her exploration of the phenomenon of perception. Weber connects this with her central artistic theme: her incessant yet unusual preoccupation with drawing and line. In doing so, she goes far beyond the use of pencil and paper. In her work, Weber takes the line into the third dimension, filling walls, rooms, and spaces with graphic installations. In doing so, she repeatedly departs from familiar territory in her choice of materials. The aesthetic appeal of her works often stems from materials not taken from art stores, but from hardware stores and hobby centers or from everyday life: hairnets and the finest silicone strands, for example, window paints, adhesive tape, or clotheslines form seemingly endless linear patterns. Weber momentarily frees all these "raw materials" from the norms of their use. They become large-format paintings made of the finest structures, covering floors and walls. This results in works that effortlessly combine the seemingly incompatible genres of drawing, relief, sculpture and installation" -- publisher's website viewed April 10, 2025.
