The Effects of Integrated Arts Education on Student Performance
註釋This research was designed to determine if students who received an arts literacy advantage across the curriculum would perform better on achievement tests than students with limited exposure to the arts in the regular course of a traditional curriculum. A phased-in magnet arts program was being implemented at Thurman Francis School that provided an opportunity for a quasi-experimental study. Both traditional curriculum and arts magnet students were attending the school. The arts magnet students were subjected to integrated arts instruction in all academic areas. After implementing the study, test results and questionnaire responses showed an increase in student performance and motivation for the arts magnet group.
