“Memories of an Extraordinary Life”
註釋

Our brain system is a marvel of engineering, perfectly organized when all its functions are active and ordered. At the center of it all is memory, a small mass insignificant, but fundamental. This memory operates harmoniously, balancing the functions of our organism and improving the quality of our life.

Brain memory, which links us to memories, habits, and daily routines, is the best known. It allows us to maintain a balance in our way of being, allowing us to face life with a certain stability. Sometimes, removing painful or traumatic memories can seem impossible, since brain capacity resides not only in the brain, but in the experiences of each of us.

Memories generate memories: the pleasant ones give us emotions and happiness, while the unpleasant ones can bring pain and anxiety. In both cases, the effect on the mind is tangible through hormonal production, the real actors of our intelligence.

The past and present are the milestones that project us into the future. Without them, we would not have the experience necessary to make fewer mistakes, and this is a great achievement: our victory. It is thanks to these experiences that we can grow and improve, learning from our actions and from the lessons that time teaches us.

In their greatness, artificial intelligences have no memory, precisely to avoid being emotionally involved with people. This makes them powerful and objective tools, capable of assisting without prejudice or personal influence. However, this emotional detachment, although useful in many areas, highlights the beauty and complexity of human experience, made up of emotions, memories and relationships that define us as individuals.
