Promoting Person-centred Care at the Front Line
註釋Because they work closely with users of care services, frontline care staff are in a position to deliver person-centred care. However, existing management systems often prevent frontline care workers from doing this. Promoting person-centred care at the frontline identifies some of the barriers to working in a person-centred way and suggests how these might be overcome. To date, there has been little previous research on the role performed by frontline workers in the delivery of person centred support and this study fills a valuable gap in the knowledge by drawing together available evidence on the subject. The report also provides an opportunity to review the available evidence on this subject - drawing on previously published research from a range of subjects - and offers suggestions for future policy, practice and research activities to help fill the gap and add to the available knowledge.
