Efficient and Cost-effective Programs for Soils and Groundwater Restoration
註釋The wastes, commonly in the form of pertoleum hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds, and inorganic compounds, slowly leach through the soils and into the groundwater where conventional methods of remediation may be accomplished by treatment of the contamination at the source and managing the migration of the contaminants away from the source. Complex subsurface contamination problems require innovative solutions, and fortunately, for the most part, the advances of technology have kept pace with the regulatory environment. This paper presents three common, yet complex, cases of subsurface contamination where both soils and groundwater were restored by the application of innovative and cost effective remedial measures.
