註釋The Basic Skills Learn to Think Level 1 and 2 books have been compiled to give practice to children who will at some time face intelligence (IQ) tests which measure their vocabulary and ability to reason and think logically. A wide variety of exercises test the recognition, categorisation, comparison and relationship of words or letters of the alphabet. Others test visual, spatial and numerical skills. The sets of work should be regarded as exercises rather than actual tests. Therefore, if children are unsure of answers it is suggested that a dictionary be consulted. After working through these books, children should be familiar with the types of questions set in IQ tests and therefore be more confident of answering them to the best of their abilities.
