註釋This taxonomic monograph concerns the subfamily Metopiinae of the Ichneumonidae (Ichneumon-flies) of America, north of Mexico. This subfamily stood taxonomically for many years as three separate tribes in the subfamily Tryphoninae: the Metopiinae, the Tylocomnini (or Trachydermatini), and the Exochini which were grouped together in 1945 as a single subfamily separate from the Tryphoninae.
