Through the Unknown chronicles a decade in the life of an ordinary American girl, transformed by extraordinary circumstances. From 1978 to 1988, while many navigated love, marriage, and motherhood, she dared to embrace the extraordinary: journeying to war-torn Iran to be with her husband.
