James Clark Papers
註釋James Clark, pearler and pastoralist, operated pearling fleets in the Torres Strait and at Broome. He cultivated edible oysters in Moreton Bay. In 1898 he bought Boongoondoo Station with Peter Tait. Clark and Tait acquired some of the largest and most highly improved properties in Queensland. James Clark ceased to be a major factor in the pearling industry in 1918.
