Star 82 Review 2. 4
註釋Star 82 Review is an art and literary online and print magazine interested in humanity, humility, and humor. The written pieces included are short and contain under 1000 words; they are meant to be easily read both onscreen and on the page. Each one is layered and worthy of multiple readings.Nature sounds romantic, but in fact it has an edge. Issue 2.4 is filled with these curiosities, from childhood discoveries to adults revisiting familiar spots and finding that the landscape has changed. Earthquakes, identities, and relationships need explaining. Questions are left in the margins. Tourists roam here, out of their natural element. Hikers and campers look for get-aways and find they take the city with them.A new erasure text by Lisa Kokin is featured-with a twist: the words appear as patterns of marginalia and the viewer cannot see the source of the original text. In other areas of art play, writer Daniel Levin Becker pairs photographs of textured surfaces with two-word phrases from his collection, and Tobias Oggenfuss shoots reality through a lens he invented. We assume, then we are puzzled. We nod and sigh. Turn the pages and join these sharp-eyed writers and artists on a journey as we grow and explore, smiling and shaking our heads at the same time.Contributors:Jos Angel AraguzHugh Behm-SteinbergWendy Taylor CarlisleKevin CaseyFrancine ConleyFrank De CanioDavid FullartonHowie GoodSusan GundlachJim HairA.D.
