This book contains 100 portraits of women who live and work in the village where I live. The youngest is aged 11 and the oldest is 100, being born in the same year as votes were first given to women in the UK. I asked each subject to bring along an object wiht she feels is significant to her and then to write exactly 100 words about it: why she had chosed it and what it means to her. These words are included alongside the portraits, which were taken between April and August 2018 at my home in the New Forest.
