註釋Descendants of Robert Monroe (1750-1803) probably born in Scotland, and died in Hampshire Co., Virginia. He was married to Margaret Geary (1749-1833) born in Scotland, and died in Rich Hill, Ohio. Descendants are through eight of their children: John (1772-1862), who married Mary Jackson 1797 in Alleghany Co., Maryland; Peter (1774-1852), who died in Union Twp., Muskimgum Co., Ohio; Daniel (1776-1845) born in New Jersey, moved to Ohio in 1807 with his wife and family; William (1783-1871), who died in Boonsboro, Maryland; Joshua (1786-1874) born in Alleghany co., Va., and died in Beaver, Pa.; Robert (1787-1843), who died in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Caleb (1788-1844), who died in McConnelsville, Ohio; and Andrew (1792-1871) born in Hampshire Co., Va.
