Superman may be Earth's champion, but recent events have been spiraling out of control, even for the Man of Steel. Even his relationship with his wife, Lois Lane, is becoming strained. As he goes to extraordinary lengths to shield her, he discovers that she sees his actions as intrusive. Yet without his protection, how can she survive the dangers created by their unique relationship? Things grow bleaker still as an old nemesis, Blackrock, returns with more power than ever before. But this may prove only a prelude for a worse threat as his greatest enemy, Lex Luthor, rears his bald head, seeking deadly vengeance.
