This report describes the geology of the salt deposits found in the Central, Moncton, and Plaster Rock basins of New Brunswick. It includes analyses of solids and brines recovered from drill holes penetrating some of those deposits and brief histories of salt production and exploration in the province. An appendix includes descriptive logs of five wells and seven diamond-drill holes made in salt-bearing areas.
