In Canada, western spiderwort is at the northern limit of its range and is known to occur in only one area in Alberta, the Pakowki Lake Sandhills. This report presents results of a survey of the Alberta spiderwort population, both at the Sandhills location and in other areas where the plant has previously been recorded. Population estimates are provided and the state of the current population is assessed. Management implications and future directions for investigation are also discussed.
