註釋
The GETWRD Package is a library of procedures designed to ease the implementation of command languages using FORTRAN 77. It allows the user to interpret a word of user input by matching it with one of the entries in a user-supplied dictionary. Features designed to increase the friendliness of the program/user interface include a type ahead facility, recognition of abbreviations, word completion and understandable error messages. This memorandum describes enhancements to the GETWRD Package. While most of the enhancements are of most benefit to the programmer, a major improvement to the program/user interface is the inclusion of a spelling corrector which will catch most typographical errors committed by the user. Other improvements include the ability to interpret the work of input as a simple string with no dictionary matching, a logical variable, the answer to a Yes-No question, or a number in a specified range; greater flexibility for the programmer in formatting prompt anf help messages; and a sorting routine which can be used to ensure that the dictionary is in alphabetic order. All changes have been implemented to be upwardly compatible with the original version of the GETWRD Package so that no changes need be made to existing code which calls GETWRD Package procedures.
