The tranquil life of Bobby Joe Sanford, a small-town Texas lawyer, is disrupted by the bomb of an al-Qaeda terrorist. As he and fellow citizens struggle to find answers, Bobby enters the courtroom to defend a black client embroiled in a bitter African American racial dispute. He soon learns that the volatile racial issues echo across the country as they are driven by sinister political forces.
