註釋A collection of contemporary European photographs showing spaces and conditions affected by Western European immigration. Situated in Portugal, which has the second highest emigration rate in Europe, this book looks at the residue of decades of immigration complicated by a colonial war, constant economic crisis, and abandoned idylls. Featuring 36 original photographs by Patricia Silva taken in the district of Lisbon, Portugal, private images from the Silva family archives (during the dictatorship in Portugal, in military duty in Angola), and several images of Portuguese immigrants in the United States, as depicted from within the canon of Photography (Lewis W. Hine, John Collier).
