Assessment of Drinking Water Quality in the Northern River Basins Study Area
註釋Synthesizes Northern River Basins Study research on the drinking water quality in the study region, thereby identifying problems to be solved and providing recommendations for improvements. Subjects covered in the synthesis include: drinking water quality guidelines from the health perspective and the incidence of waterborne diseases in the northern river basins; sources of drinking water in the study area, both conventional and non-conventional; challenges to achieving drinking water quality standards, including natural factors and pollution from agriculture, municipal discharges, forestry, and industry; analytical and qualitative assessment of the aesthetic quality of the drinking water in the northern basins; water quality analyses (raw, treated and distributed, and non-conventional drinking water); and drinking water treatment in the study area, both conventional and non-conventional. Concludes with recommendations for management of water supplies and drinking water quality.
