The Emergency Measures Organization is a co-ordinating agency of the Nova Scotia government charged with the duty of ensuring that plans & preparations are made at the provincial & municipal level to deal with emergencies and/or war measures affecting the safety of life & property. This report reviews the Organization's activities over the year in such areas as emergency operations organization, training, planning, liaison, conferences, communications, and establishment of emergency government headquarters. A brief financial summary is also included.
