Examination of the incidental catch of chinook and coho salmon from 1982-85 in pink and sockeye salmon seine and troll test fisheries in central and northern British Columbia. The use of the term test fisheries refers to vessels that were under charter to the Government of Canada and where the total catch, the location of the catch and the time of the catch were known without error. The magnitude and seasonal pattern of the incidental catch of chinook and coho salmon from the test fishing vessels were then compared with that reported for the commercial fishing fleet in the same areas.
