We are pleased to report that this dispute was resolved by agreement between the parties in June 2005. The agreement specifies that Prof. Chun will continue to hold an appointment as research scientist and associate professor in the University of Toronto department of physics. He will, however, be on a paid leave of absence and will relocate his research to Tongji University in China. Subject to specified periodic reviews of his publication record and success in obtaining research funds, the paid leave of absence will continue until 30 June 2111 [sic], at which time he agrees to retire.
