註釋This collection, for the period 1777 to 1871, contains a Committee of Safety notice during the Revolution, several court records, including punishments for vagrancy and drunkenness, a highway tax book for 1817, town property assessments for 1819, and a circular of questions referring to the proposed canal between Connecticut and Worcester County. Included also is a register for the Broadway Congregational Church in Norwich kept by Rev. Daniel Merriman (1838-1912) and listing communicants, baptisms, marriages, and deaths from 1869 to 1871, with remarks on causes of death; and two Chelsea Lottery Books for 1794 listing the numbers and the people who purchased them, lottery ticket stubs, one lottery ticket cut from the lottery book.
