註釋
In a new translation and adaptation by Simon Beyer, La Ronde is a classic play about relationships, desire and the games people play. Set over ten scenes, ten couples explore the complexities of love, life and relationshipsLa Ronde (Reigen), by Arthur Schnitzler (1862-1931), was never staged when it was originally written. The author banned it for twenty years from ever being performed. Written to show, in script format to a few select friends, the play was a comment on Schnitzler's contemporary Viennese society. The play has since become somewhat iconic. It has been adapted into musicals, film versions and other staged interpretations. Performance details: the play is set with ten scenes and can be played with a minimum of four actors, or with up to twenty actors. It is set in modern day, over a time-span of two decades.
