註釋The main aim of this research was to conduct an in-depth review and evaluation of the efficiency of the NSW Building Sustainability Index Assessment Tool (BASIX), 7 years after its implementation in 2004 as a mandatory policy for saving energy, emissions and water in all new homes across the state. Using online surveys to collect data, the specific objectives were to (1) understand the BASIX building professionals' and other professional users' perceptions on the current performance of BASIX, (2) understand householders' behaviour, perspectives and perceptions in relation to energy and water saving and consumption, and (3) to suggest areas for future improvement of BASIX.
