註釋
Wetlands are important to wildlife in the Prairie Pothole Region of North America. A diversity of wetland types is needed to maintain wildlife populations. Values discussed in this paper in addition to wildlife are: water retention, water quality, forage production, ground water recharge, and aesthetics. Economic values of wetlands must be quantified in order for decision makers to program fate of wetlands in the future.
