註釋George Purves (1852-1901) was a Professor of New Testament literature and exegesis, at Princeton Theological Seminary. This book contains three of his works, as well as his eulogy by Dr F.L. Patton and his Inauguration charge from George D. Baker and his own inaugural address for his Professorship at Princeton. The three works are: Joy in Service "Jesus saith unto them, my meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." Forgetting, and Pressing Onward "Forgetting these things which are behind, and reaching forth to those things which are before, I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
