註釋Western spiderwort (Tradescantia occidentalis) was listed as Endangered in Alberta since 2001, and the Alberta Western Spiderwort Recovery Team was formed in 2003. The team produced the Maintenance and Recovery Plan for Western Spiderwort in Alberta with a goal of maintaining western spiderwort's existing habitat and distribution and maintaining a naturally self-sustaining population in Alberta. In 2007 and 2008, the Adopt-a-Plant Alberta (APA) program implemented some of the recovery strategies outlined in the Recovery Plan by collecting population data and conducting invasive species management in western spiderwort habitat. This report discusses APA's work and presents management and conservation recommendations.--Includes text from document.
