註釋"In this paper, the researcher will assert the musical and societal significance of songs of working women throughout the world and over the millennia. The contribution of women’s work-songs and voices has often been excluded, devalued, and dismissed from the mainstream musical canon. This is further evidenced when one considers how the emotional labor performed by women for the success of their individual lives, the lives and careers of their partners, their families, and society is essentially invisible and rarely recognized. The researcher will illustrate the substantive role working women play in society by highlighting the work of women through song and demonstrate the pedagogical imperative to include and consult their oeuvre in the discipline. The researcher will conduct analyses of songs that explore these themes as well as transcriptions and arrangements by notable musicians around the world. Discussion includes relevance in modern society and implications for further exploration or research."--
