The year is 2037, and the world’s economies are being crushed under the enormous strain of the substance-abuse pandemic. Nurse David Baker is caught in the crossfire, his steadfast belief in the goodness of humankind crumbling under the weight of the daily deprivation he witnesses in his desperate, demoralized patients.
There is a plan in place, however, to end the war on drugs once and for all—a final solution that David eagerly and naively chooses to be a part of, signing away his life, his rights, and all the freedoms he holds so dear.
When he finally realizes the lengths to which those in power are willing to go in order to increase their base of power and influence, David is faced with a new choice: stand aside and watch the collapse of society, or to stand fast against it by making a deal with the Devil himself.
