Yet the devilish Karen is only one of his many problems. A pair of conniving undercover angels, who feel underpaid and underappreciated, are also on the loose, eagerly stirring up trouble and looking for an easy scam to compensate them for being assigned the lousy job of watching over Mr. Peter Attaway and his strange son --- also known as God and David. And then there's Julie, a wonderful young woman who irresistibly tugs at his heart, reminding him of his former life where so many of his dreams went unfulfilled.Everything comes together on the cruise --- where the Valjak clan with their large cast of fun-loving characters out for a rollicking family vacation add to David's problems and routinely keep him guessing what's going to happen next. Throw in sweet, seductive Mabel, who decides to make God her next husband, and Ruth, her fiesty, sarcastic sister, and the plot begins to boil while the wonders of Russia and its unique culture and superstitions stir their many adventures.Eventually, David faces some difficult decisions and a choice he wasn't expecting because the Devil isn't the only one with some tricks up his sleeve. God has been around the block a few times, and even without his powers, things aren't always what they might appear to be. Just about anything can happen.
