註釋Simulation study to investigate the harmful effects of series connected cells has been carried out using MATLAB. It was observed that there is a substantial power loss due to non uniform illumination of a series string. The power generated by highly illuminated cells is wasted as a heat in the poorly illuminated cells. The same study has been extended to series connected and parallel connected SPV modules. Series connection of solar cells in an array is essential to get practically utilisable voltage.
