註釋This document presents some facts about same-sex families in Australia, including the number of same-sex couples and same-sex couples with children (from 2011 Census data) and the impact on child wellbeing. It also notes trends in community attitudes towards same-sex relationships over the last decade (using data from the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey). The number of same-sex couple parented families is growing in Australia, and the research indicates that children raised in such families develop as well as their peers.
